UNICEF is a worldwide organization.  It mainly mission is to help and fulfil the needs of children around the world. UNICEF already covers more than 190 countries in order to help children survive beginning from their early childhood through adolescence. The aspects that been covered are nutrition, good water and sanitation, education, protection from violence, exploitation and AIDS.

Therefore, when there is volunteerism activities that mainly mission are to help children, UNICEF will consider to support them. In Malaysia itself, UNICEF Malaysia has its own volunteerism program. However, due to the nature of our work and structure of our country program, there is little field for volunteerism opportunities provided by UNICEF. Hence, UNICEF Malaysia is working together with local non-governmental organizations for any charity program.

For any organization or individual who plan to make charity project for children in need, you can ask UNICEF Malaysia to be part of your program. By working together with them, you can know what usually the needs for this kind of program. If you do not plan to make any charity program but still want to help these children, you can also make the donations to UNICEF.
